Brite Solar’s New Factory in Patras: A Global Breakthrough in Nanotechnology-Based Agrivoltaics
February 12, 2025
Brite Solar is proud to announce the launch of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Industrial Zone of Patras, Greece. This facility marks a world first in the production of semi-transparent agrivoltaic panels with dual nanotechnology film applications. It represents a major step forward in sustainable agriculture and renewable energy and reinforces Brite Solar’s leadership in agrivoltaic innovation.
A Cutting-Edge Facility with Rapid Scaling Capacity
Our new factory is currently staffed by 40 specialized engineers, with plans to double the workforce within the next few months as we scale up production to meet growing market demand.
This facility has a manufacturing capacity of 150MWp per year, positioning Brite Solar as a global leader in the production of nano-coated, semi-transparent Agri-PV modules. This cutting-edge technology integrates two distinct nanotechnology coatings, optimizing light transmission for enhanced photosynthesis while ensuring high energy efficiency for sustainable farming solutions.
Production Capacity and Growth Forecast
Brite Solar will deploy over 20MWp of Agri-PV panels from our manufacturing facility in Greece by the beginning of 2025, helping agricultural enterprises worldwide transition to climate-resilient, energy-efficient farming.
Our production is expected to reach 200,000+ square meters of semi-transparent agrivoltaic panels by the end of 2025, equivalent to over 20MWp of installed capacity. With continuous expansion, we anticipate annual production increases of 50%, reaching 500,000+ square meters by 2027.
