Western Innovation for Renewable Energy Deployment (WIRED) project
We are excited to announce the launch of the Western Innovation for Renewable Energy Deployment (WIRED) project. Our initiative focuses on revolutionizing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems through #innovative approaches such as low-concentration reflectors, #agrivoltaic systems, and distributed recycling and additive manufacturing. By establishing the first open-source outdoor PV testing center, WIRED aims to significantly reduce PV system costs and enhance their functionality. This project, in collaboration with the Ivey Business School and Western Engineering, will serve as a groundbreaking model for #renewable energy deployment in Canada.
