Within the Dutch R&D project Sunbiose (https://sunbiose.nl/), to which Brite is partner, a new demonstration installation has become operational at the Wageningen UR experimental fruit farm in Randwijk. The demonstration is focused on the cultivation of pear trees under different variations of an agrivoltaic system, with Brite delivering PV modules at different levels of transparency for the purposes of the trial. The performance of the crop under the agrivoltaic installation will be compared against the prevailing standard of pear cultivation in the Netherlands.
